"On went the mouse through the deep dark wood. A snake saw the mouse and the mouse looked good"
Welcome to our small series of caches for children (or the child in you!). Follow the brown mouse on his journey through the wood, meeting various characters as you go. Based on the ever popular Julia Donaldson story The Gruffalo.
"Mouse isn't out of danger just yet. Another predator has his beady eyes on him! Sneaky Snake hopes to convince Mouse to join him for a feast but we suspect Mouse would be on the menu! Luckily Snake is deterred by the description of the Gruffalo, and slithers away to hide after hearing his favourite food is "scrambled snake"!"
* We hope to keep the sticker cards and stickers topped up but would appreciate a heads up should they be running low, or if a large group of children are planning to do the route. We'd hate anyone to miss out!
We decided to create this series in honour of our 3 year old mini cacher who loves helping us to “find the treasures”. We hope you enjoy it as much as she does.

Please take a moment to fully explore this wonderful community woodland. You will find accessible paths, a pond, a cabin, a river, old burial mounds and a disused railway line! It is home to a lovely variety of wildlife, perhaps you will spot some on your visit.
The route from box 3 to this cache isn't really suitable for pushchairs so you may want to turn back and follow the main route for a less bumpy ride!
