I first heard of the idea of a guard dog cache when I was down toward Binghamton and found some that Rhodri111 had placed. Then KK574 came out with a series here. Dslater and I have been heading this way "on our way" more of less to other areas to cache for the day. A few days ago, we found a dog in a cache and I said that we should put it out along Route 8 once all the new caches were published. Well, today was the day. We were driving by and had forgotten about the idea, so the container I had in my bag was not ideal, but dslater had some zip ties and I had the dog, so we were in business. This is probably the easiest cache I will ever place! There is an area to pull off the road just north or the cache. Be careful, and have fun!
