Geocache Description:

This cache site acknowledges one of many creeks in this area that drain into Pine Creek..that drains in Atlin Lake. Atlin Lake collects water from all the creeks in the area and from the Llewellyn Glacier.

The lake drains through the Southern Lake systems to become the Yukon River...that ultimately empties into the Arctic Ocean.

At this site, at sunrise and sunset during the winter, alpenglow paints the nearby mountains and streams with colours of shining pink and gold...before freeeze-up, the streams look like liquid gold.

What a journey..from here to the Arctic  ....through British Columbia, Yukon and Alaska.

Throw small leaf into the water and dream about its incredible journey.
