I love stamps.
There, I said it.
I am a...Philatelist.
While this cache is a Letterbox with a rubber stamp and ink pad it's really about my love for the postage stamp. But I'm ready to start a new stamp collection of all the amazing stamps that geocachers use. It is placed in a very cool part of George Owens Nature Park and I hope you enjoy your visit here. You can follow the Paw Paw or Wapiti Trail to a clearing, where a behemoth waits for you, then begin your search for the cache. These trails are beaten earth trails and are muddy after a rain, and rocky. You can also take the paved road down to the back side of Lake Lorrain and access the trail there. See map.

I have been collecting stamps for over 40 years. I'm not sure what possessed my sister to buy me the 1975 Commemorative stamp set for my 10th birthday but I'm glad she did because I have been hooked ever since. It's hard to explain this odd love I have. All I know is that I see the postage stamp as a thing of beauty. They are beautiful works of tiny art.
So let me show you a few things.

This is my favorite set of stamps. Period. I love Sherlock Holmes, Watson, and Arthur Conan Doyle. This set combines two of my favorite, all time, things. Plus this strip of five stamps contain one letter each of the name Doyle somewhere in the pictures.

This is the famous Inverted Jenny. This stamp was issued in 1918 and there are only one hundred "errors" in existance. If you look at the center you will see that the airplane is upside down. I got to see this one, this summer at the Stamp Show. That is the picture I took. A very cool moment for me.
Then there is Yoda.

He says...
There is no try
Only found it or found it not.
Find the cache you must
Enjoy it you will.
I hope you will take time to exchange stamps here. Please leave the provided stamp and ink pad in the cache container for everyone to use. They belong with the cache.
I am also leaving a FTF gift. It is not geocache related but it is stamp related. The cool thing about it is that it's printed with Thermochromic ink.
