Geocache Description:

A fairly steep walk of about 1.8km (one way) with 300 metres of elevation to a lookout where you will be rewarded with stunning views out towards Mt Dromedary and over the Derwent.

Park close to the end of Granton Heights Road and follow the tracks to the huge cairn at the summit of Snake Mount. There's probably a reason why it has that name so be extra careful and vigilant whilst in the area!

Further information including track notes can be found here; however, do not be tempted to make a circular walk out of it by following the track out along Black Snake Rivulet as it is private property and the locals do not seem like the kind that would be happy with you trespassing on their land. We strongly suggest returning the way you came!

The cache is hidden in an obvious location but please make the effort to rehide it well due to the potential of muggles frequenting the area.
