Formerly the site of a handicraft village that specialized in ceramics, this site became a prison that the French used to hold Vietnamese prisoners. Later it was used by the Vietnamese to hold American prisoners, from which it received the nickname the Hanoi Hilton. Today it is a museum and popular tourist attraction, in the shadow of a 25 story high rise that takes up part of the original property.
The cache is located outside the the main entrance and is accessible 24/7.
