Station 1: Have a look at the famous landmark of Chania, one of the oldest lighthouses of the world. The tower was constructed by the Venetians around 1600, destroyed in 1825 and rebuild in 1830 in the current visible Arabic stile. Today’s tower stands at 21m height and is visible within 7 miles.

Station 2: The Nautical Museum of Crete - situated at the entrance of Firka Fortress - was opened in 1973. Its collection includes models of ships, nautical instruments, painting, historical photographs and war relicts.

Station 4: The 'Leather Street' also called 'Leather Lane' or 'Stivanadika' (after 'stivania' which is what the tall Cretan boots are called) is a small street where traditionally shoe and boot makers used to have their workshops in Chania. Nowadays most of the old workshops have been turned into tourist shops.

Station 5: The Municipal Market of Chania was built between 1909 and 1913 and modelled on the covered market of Marseilles. The market includes many shops selling vegetables, fish, meat, herbs and spices, Cretan products such as cheeses, olives, raki and more. It is highly recommended to eat at one of the cookshops or have a coffee at the café in the center.

Station 7: The Byzantine church of Agia Ekaterini was constructed in the middle of the 16th century. It shows influences of the late Gothic style. Although it was built as an orthodox church you can find architectural ornaments you normally see at catholic churches. During the Ottoman period the temple was used as an oven and until recently as a machine hall. However, the inhabitants of the region continued to worship St. Catherine, in whose name they believed that the temple was consecrated

Station 9: The Mosque of the Janissaries (Kucjk Hassan Mosque) is the oldest Ottoman building of the island dated in 1645. In 1923 it stopped functioning as a mosque. Nowadays it is used for exhibitions by local artists.
