Geocache Description:

BRAVE is the tenth point of the Scout Law!  You are standing near the one of the newest Eagle Projects in Ruidoso.  Troop 59 has been very involved with veteran support efforts over the last ten years.  Troop 59 is responsible for placing the flags in the Forest Lawn Cemetery for Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.  We also have been helping host the Veteran's Day Assembly at Ruidoso Middle School.  However, Ruidoso has never really had a monument focused toward remembering those who BRAVELY stand for the protection of our freedoms.  Adam L. decided to build just such a monument.

The five bronze plaques on the front, posted in order of inception are ARMY, NAVY, MARINES, COAST GUARD and AIR FORCE.  On the top is a dedication plaque thanking the brave men and women for their service.  The flag pole with solar light atop, will remind us daily that there are those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.  Please take a moment while you are here and remember them.
