My intention was to carry on the efforts of Isquba and Nawty along the Cookstown Railtrail. I have since discovered that this is a segment of The Great Trail so I will therefore name this section of caches after TGT (formerly known as The Trans Canada Trail).
The Great Trail consists of 24,000 kms of multi-use trails which connect and stretch across Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island and up to the Northwest Territories. It is truly our trans Canada trail and apparently 4 out of 5 Canadians live within 30 minutes of it. The New Tecumseth section is covered with pea gravel and skirts beautiful farmland. No motorized vehicles are allowed so walk, bike, ski, snowshoe to your hearts' content.
I have tried to avoid hiding caches where walking through tall grass is needed but some could not be avoided. There are various levels of difficulty and some do require stepping off the trail and down an embankment.
You are looking for a good sized plastic container. The name comes from the bag of miniature animals inside the container. When I first started caching I would always trade swag and these animals are from my early days of caching.
