A cache planted in what used to be the home of a geyser field. Now the area has been drilled to produce geothermal power.
The cache is a tupperware container containing many of the usual items, including a history of the Beowawe geyser field, which is no more. Please leave the history with the cache. It also has a make-shift log book, as our log books were lost in the RV!
The cache is not far off the road, a road that should be easily traversed in a car. Keep an eye out for grazing cattle!
The geyser fields were quite active back before the plant was built, some reaching heights to a foot or more. Now the area is marked with the pipelines that have destroyed the geysers and carry the geothermal power to the plant.
