This is my 1st cache. It is located just up from the East Bay bike path on Town Land. UTM 19 T 0309729 4619580 on my GARMIN works well. First put out in this field in March 2000 as part of my 'GPS' school science fair project that went to the state finals.
Put in field March 2000. 2002 Registered this cache with 'Geocaching' as 'Geoscouting' after a scouting program that I did at Camp Yawgoog during the summer. Inside you will find----Boy Scout patches, 4 large ballons, 4 Mcdonalds toys, a tin box, silly putty, a R.I. quarter, a "aaa" golf ball, and some 'cache cards' I've found in other boxes. The permanet equipment for this box includes a camera, pen and pencil, and a pad for you to log in on. Hope you will come and look inside. The path and field are public property owned by the Town of Bristol and open to all. ******** 2009 The cache is still there and easy to find (hint) the path from the street is much more kind (please) don't jump the wall to get to this spot (enjoy) go up the path, take a right, it's just a small lot. ******** 2010 Geoscouting This cache is now 10 years old and will be filled with scout stuff for the 100th of BSA. =========OMG. 2015! This little cache has spent 15 years in this field and been visited by people from all over the world and it i is one of oldest locations (top 10) in the state! Now as a reward, I will remake this cache in March to clean it up, upgrade the container, and add some (very special) bsa items to the contents.
