Geocache Description:

When I was in High School, I took an English class that focused on Women in History. The teacher told us to treat the text books with kid gloves as he was not able to attain any more. LIFE magazine came out with a special report called REMARKABLE AMERICAN WOMEN 1776-1976. I thought it was a good time to have some caches related to powerful and or influential women

All the information needed to solve the puzzle is on this page.

On this site stood the Baker house, where Mary Baker Eddy, Founder of Christian Science, was born on July 16, 1821, the youngest of the six children of Mark and Abigail Baker.

The house was the center of a farm of about 200 acres. The Baker family lived here until January of 1836 when they moved to what is not Tilton NH.

The main structure of the house was later moved to the adjacent farm of John Baker, a cousin. It burned down in 1910.

Above, this painting by E.L. Henry represents the Baker homestead as it appeared when Eddy lived there
