[天空の城ラピュタ / Castle in the Sky] is an animated movie which is directed by 宮崎駿in 1986. The movie was the second movie of Studio Ghibli(Since 1985). (Althought 風の谷のナウシカ was published in 1984, Studio Ghibli still claimed it was their first animated movie.)
Legend has it that there is a castle can float in the sky, called Laputa. The floating city has high technology and precious jewelry. Although it is a legendary, some of people still believe the sky castle exists in the world. Girl (シータ) has a blue crystal pendant, the pirates and the military think it is related to the sky castle. They scramble for the pendant in order to find the city in legend...
