Geocache Description:


This is the first cache is a series that will highlight some of the most haunted areas in Sydney.
I'd love to hear about any ghostly apparitions or unexplained feelings you get once at GZ.

Formally known as The Callan Park Hospital for the Insane this facility is a heritage-listed former insane asylum and now college campus located in the grounds of Callan Park, an area on the shores of Iron Cove.

 

The beautiful, yet dilapidated buildings definitely hint at the dark history of this place.
 
Don't forget your camera, many people have reported strange shadow like figures appearing in their photos. There are also numerous reports of screams being heard from Ward 18 and investigations have recorded paranormal activity in the chapel and around the grounds.
