三級古蹟先嗇宮擁有超過250年的歷史，是三重境內最古老、最重要的信仰中心。主祀神農大帝，屬於道教信仰，信徒習慣稱它為「五穀王廟」。起初建宮於新莊，時為清乾隆20年(西元1755年)，後因躲避水患，才遷宮至三重。漢移民來臺多以農為業，因此特別虔心奉祀可保佑收成的神農大帝，此外，信徒也篤信祂擁有醫病的神力，能保佑身體健康。先嗇宮另配祀有觀音菩薩、保生大帝、太上老君、三官大帝、盤古、伏羲氏、延平郡王、文昌帝君、註生娘娘、后稷、九天女神、斗姥、福德正神，與守護廟宇轄區的「境主」等諸多神祇，希望能考試高中、生產順利、出入平安、疾病痊癒等，都可向宮裡不同司職的神明來祈求。
Xianse Temple is commonly known a Wuguwang Temple, it is a municipal historic monument in Erchongpu in Sanchong Dist., New Taipei City. The original Xianse Temple was constructed in 1755 (year 20 of Qianlong Emperor’s reign in the Qing Dynasty) near Touqian Village, Xinzhuang, due to repeated flooding of Tamsui River, it was relocated to Sankandian (riverside near the border of Xinzhuang and Sanchong, behind the modern day Ginling Girls’ High School. Subsequently, it was relocated again to Wuguwang N. St., Erchongpu in Sanchong Dist., making it the oldest temple in Sanchong District. The geographic name “Wuguwang” was also derived from the temple
This is my first ever cache after I started playing geocaching for 6 months(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)
My workplace is just in the area.I hadn't been to Xianse Temple since I worked here.
Now because I'm going to put a cache here,I have the chance to finally visit the historical temple.
Cache is outside of the temple,after fiding the cache, I encourage you go inside the temple and feel the inner peace :).
