La calle de Escosura se encuentra situada entre la calle de Fernando el Católico y la calle Donoso Cortés. Su nombre tiene su origen en el autor de La Corte del Buen Retiro, el nacido en Madrid Patricio de la Escosura en el año 1807 y fallecido en el 1878.
Patricio de la Escosura Morrogh fue un político, periodista, autor dramático, mitógrafo, crítico y escritor romántico español.
Poco tiene que ver Patricio con la movida, pero sí el hecho de que este callejón acoge ahora a una escuela de cine mítica en Madrid y nacida en plena movida madrileña y que casa perfectamente con la faceta de autor dramático de Don Patricio.

Patricio de la Escosura Morrogh was a politician, journalist, dramatic author, mitographer, critic and Spanish romantic writer.
Patricio has nothing to do with the "movida", but it does the fact that this alley now hosts a mythical film school in Madrid and born in the middle of the "Movida madrileña" and perfectly matches the face of dramatic author of Don Patricio.
