Green Day Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

darrelhoff: It's appropriate to archive this cache with lyrics by Green Day's song "Good Riddance (time of your life) - they're kinda fitting: "It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life"
This cache is not here anymore. I won't replace it as there are many others around MK. Happy caching! And remember too not be so consumed with the search that you miss the scenery around you...

Geocache Description:

This is a Cache of Nostalgia...

Disclaimer:

When logging this cache, in the spirit of doing something different: It WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD post some Green Day lyrics in the log.  You may use Google to help you.

Furzton Lake is a stunning little lake quite near National Bowl.  The National Bowl opened in 1979.

The National Bowl has had many great bands play there such as: Queen, Erasure, Foo Fighters and Green Day.

A few years ago, when living in South Africa, I got the Bullet in a Bible DVD by Green Day recorded at the Bowl.  Who would have thought, a few years later, I would be living right by the Bowl?

Rumour has it, when a band is playing in the Bowl, one can sit at Furzton and hear the band performing.  A few people have done that in the past.  Packed a picnic, and sat at the lake side, hearing the band perform.

This cache is placed here as for two reasons: A sense of nostalgia and because it is a beautiful green space.   (I have run around this lake a few times.)

Do yourself a favour when walking to find this cache.  Take a moment to pause.

Soak in the surroundings.  Sit on a bench.  (Perhaps, have your lunch break here?)

PS. To add a little difference to this cache, I have instructed that each log must have some lyrics from Green Day included too.  (For those who don’t know the band, you may use Google.)

A suggestion: If you wanted to listen to some Green Day in on ear as you head to the cache, do that too. But definitely, make some time to tune into the birdsong around. The cache is just off the path. Bring your own pen.
