La escultura Al paisanaje representa a un hombre y a una mujer, mide unos 10 metros de altura y está situada a unos 300 metros de la autovía. El escultor ha jugado perfectamente con la luz, de manera que el hombre mira hacia el este y recibe los primero rayos del sol del día y la mujer, que tiene gran vientre, mira hacia Fernán Núñez, con un sentido por tanto más maternalista.
La escultura forma parte de una exposición que se presentó en febrero de 2008 en la Diputación de Córdoba. Una muestra que gira en torno a la idea de la persona y la autovía, según señala su autor Juan Vicente Zafra: "una idea que me surgió porque me sorprende mucho esto de la autovía. A partir de la contemplación de ésta a su paso por Fernán Núñez me pongo a redescubrir el nuevo paisaje y me pongo a trabajar sobre este asunto. Paralelamente observo todos los paisajes naturales y todos las colinas preciosas que rodean la localidad y la campiña".
Juan Zafra afirma que ha jugado con los huecos de atrás y con la luz para crear una sensación de volumen. Además, la escultura, cuya sombra se proyecta sobre la autovía al atardecer, se completa con un pedestal de hormigón, que ha sido necesario para poderla afianzar con solidez al suelo.
ACCESO. Se puede llegar en coche a unos 250 mts. de la escultura y acercarse a ella andando por un camino de acceso poco transitado ya que termina prácticamente ahí. Para el coche tenemos la opción corta con un terreno algo más irregular o la más segura dando un pequeño rodeo. Yo fui con un vehículo utilitario por la larga y regresé por la corta sin ningún problema. Aunque en esta última habría que considerar los problemas que podría plantear el barro.
