It can be dangerous in the Australian bush and Geocaching NSW would like to help keep you safe. So to help with your bush awareness education, Geocaching NSW is hosting a skills event to add to your knowledge base.
Located in the picturesque La Perouse on the northern headland of Kamay Botany Bay National Park, you will discover fantastic walks, dive spots and historic sites… all just a quick trip from Sydney’s centre. A 1.5 hour drive from both Wollongong and Central Coast makes it within easy reach for many geocachers.
The event will start at 1:30pm where you will join the general public to view the live snake show in the famous La Perouse Snake Pit.
Following this at around 2:00pm, the group will then recive a practical first-aid presentation by one of our valued GCNSW members focusing on some useful first aid skills.
There are many geocaches nearby, some with many favourite points to keep you entertained before and/or after the event. Come learn some practical tips, enjoy the lovely sights that La Perouse has to offer. So plan to make a day of it!
