Geocache Description:

The microcache is positioned between 200 - 300 mm (8 - 12 inches) above floor level.  It is magnetic and looks like a hexagonal nut.  Please return to the same place that you find it.  The cache location is near to the point where a badly maintained tarmac roadway changes to a new tarmac pathway.

Some history about the area of the cache's location.  A little further up the hill from the cache, and to your left, you pass the former site of E. Gomme Limited's factory, famous for "G-Plan" furniture.  This site is now a housing estate.  Another 100m up the hill and after crossing the railway line, you come to a park.  From the 1920s until the start of the 21st Century, this park was part of the site of the purpose-built Ercol factory.  Ercol relocated to Princes Risborough and the site became a mix of houses, flats & this parkland.  The site was at least 250m long, running parallel to the railway line.  Its width was the same as the park from the NE to SW.  By the standards of High Wycombe's traditional furniture manufactories, this was a very large enterprise.
