There are around 70 pedestrian bridges in Taipei City and that number came down from 112. This topped footbridge, built in 1983 on Heping E. Rd. and HsinShen S. Rd has a unique square design which makes diagonal crossing easier. The spiral staircase located at each corner is also one-of-a-kind. In 2015, the bridge was on the list to be torn down by the city government. Fortunately, the local residents protested and saved it!
The bridge also serves another purpose. There are in total 45 security cameras installed by the police to scan license plates to trace stolen vehicles. Don't worry, the cache will not interfere with any of their equipment!
The cache is about the bridge so you need to go up one of the spiral staircases to find the cache. It is NOT on ground floor. As with our GC series, please do not take pictures of the cache as it will spoil the fun for others. Once you've logged the cache, please place it back EXACTLY the way you found it.
