Geocache Description:

A series of 5 caches on a circular walk around the Llanbedrog area and the coastal path. The whole walk is about 2 miles. There are steps, kissing gates, muddy paths and long grass so please dress accordingly. These are the first caches we have set and, if popular, we may extend the walk further with more caches. The walk starts and ends near the well-known Glyn Y Weddw Arms. There is on street parking here, although in high season it can be very busy. There is also parking further down the road near the beach in the National Trust car park.

The village and beach of Llanbedrog are well worth visiting. It has an interesting history of quarrying, fishing and tourism. In the 1890s a tramway connected it to Pwllheli (now sadly gone). Displays of its history can be found at the Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw arts and heritage centre, on the road to the beach.

This cache may also be done as a quick drive-by.

If doing the circular route, to get to the beach, walk straight down the road, passing the church of St Pedrog. You may wish to detour up to the top of headland to visit Tin Man (GCVJ7H) before returning to tackle Llanbedrog #2. Halfway up the stairs.

Bring your own pen.
