10 -11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 - Middle of the Morning. Middle Event #43.
This is a casual monthly gathering for local, not-so-local or visiting geocachers to swap stories, tips and advice. There is no formal program. The event begins at 10 a.m.
This meeting is at Orsinger County Park on Huebner Road. The coordinates will take you to a picnic table. Since it's impossible to reserve picnic tables in advance, if that particular table is already taken, I will set up nearby. No food available for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own. Playground and restrooms nearby. Lots of free, nearby parking.
There will be a prize drawing at 10:30. The prizes are usually things that I have laying around my house, sometimes related to geocaching. You are welcome to add to the prizes if you have some things that you no longer want. One person's trash is another's stash of geo-swag.
People often bring their trackable collections to share with others. Some people bring trackables that they want to pass on to other cachers.
You are welcome to stay after 11, if you wish.
The "Middle of the Week, Middle of the Day" geocaching gatherings began in August of 2015. We meet on the last Tuesday of every month from August - May at various parks and restaurants in the San Antonio / Hill Country area.
For New Cachers:
Before the event: use the "Log Your Visit" button at the upper right hand side of the cache page. Post a "Will Attend" for this event if you think you might attend. This will make sure you receive any announcements about the event.
During the Event: sign the log sheet.
After the Event: post an "attended" log for the event to claim a "smiley" for the event. The event will be archived on November 5. Remember to log any trackables that you discover or pick up.
Future "Middle" Events:
November 19 (because the last Tuesday is so close to Thanksgiving), December 17 (because the final two Tuesdays are Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and I'm not sure I'll be in town)
