This cache is one of several located within the Pigeon Hill Preserve protected by the Downeast Coastal Conservancy land trust. It is located on Petit Manan Point in the town of Steuben. Begin your search at the Preserve parking area on Pigeon Hill Road. Climb partway up Pigeon Hill to visit an interesting rocky outcrop near the beginning of the Ledge Woods Trail. The Preserve trail system consists of three loops so there are several routes that can be taken to get to the cache.
The cache is a small clear plastic container. It starts with some photo cards of scenes taken within the Preserve. Please carefully reseal the container after you sign the log.
I think you will enjoy this area! The vistas from the summit of Pigeon Hill can be fantastic and the trails pass through a beautiful forest with many interesting features. It should take less than an hour to get to the cache no matter which way you go.
