Second in my series. I was a pretty rebellious youth and spent many years bucking the system. But if you ask anyone who knows me, I turned out pretty good! I spent the better part of my youth hiking, playing, and daydreaming in these woods. I grew up not far from here at the base of Clausland Mountain, named after Jan Claus, give him a 'goog.' We played in these woods, explored and built forts. I consider myself lucky to grow up in such a great area. When I got a little older my friends and I would come up here and sneak beers and cigarettes. This was before cell phones and all the hustle bustle that we have today. Coming back to my old haunts brings back a flood of great memories and I am thankful that these woods are still here and untouched. I haven't stopped rocking and never will but I'm older and a bit less rebellious. Take a stroll to the geocache and enjoy the solitude. You just may hear my childhood friends and I laughing and playing if you listen real close.
