Operation: Doggy Playtime
Message to All Cachers:
This is located at Shallotte Town District Park. You may take either entrance. (Left towards Dog Park or the Right "Main Entrance") They close at 9 pm so this will be a daytime find (seasonal hours may vary). This hide is not only for my fellow dog lovers but those who also enjoy "a day in the park." We are hidden just far enough away for our friends to lose track of our scent. However, there is a chance a capable canine might mark us. Find us, check-in, and take or leave some goodies. This spot is highly visible to muggles so approach with caution.
This is kid-friendly, pet-friendly, also can be a good place during summer to catch some shade while still hanging out outside. This one can be a park and grab with minimal walking. It could be difficult for those with restrictions as a lot of branch debris and small stumps hidden by leaves after storms and in the fall.
**Warning**
With hurricanes and major storms frequent to the area, we get a lot of wind and rain. Keep an eye out for "Widow Makers" above you. For those who don't know what that means, it's the branches (small to big) that are hanging and disconnected in the tree. Suspended above with the chance to fall on you. The park does a great job of cleaning up, but now and then you can see one hanging around.
