Luhu Court is a highrise development with shops and an attractive public pedestrian environment nestled into the relatively hilly northwest corner of the Taojin area. The plaza is hidden away from the noise and traffic of Hengfu Lu and the elevated inner ring road and is quite tranquil considering the dense surrounds, though during pleasant weather and in the evenings there are usually quite a few people enjoying the public spaces. The shops installed at the ground floor help ensure that the area is publicly accessible. Take a seat (if lucky enough to find one unoccupied) to fill in the log, and enjoy the surrounds. It's an active plaza at nearly all times of the day, with younger families in the early evening, and many old people around in the evening from a retirement home included in the development.
As in much of Guangzhou's older built-up area appearances can be deceptive and what seems at first glance to be a gated development is in fact open, with public access from both the busy street to the north and the car park yard below. Down the stairs directly underneath the plaza is a sub-level housing various utilities and a car park.
