Geocache Description:

No swag or TBs in this cache please.

OK, so it is really not a spooky guardrail but it is an excuse to put a cache out to celebrate Halloween.

Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated each year on October 31. Many people moan about Halloween being an imported American holiday but it originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints; soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating sweet treats.

The cache is exactly where you would expect. No need to play around the road please and mindful of the little ones and fur babies. You are very close to the main road and it is busy so stealth is required. The best parking is on Selkirk Road.

Happy Halloween!
