Geocache Description:

Have you ever seen the show Lost? One of the things to come out of that show was the infamous numbers!

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

If you we watching close enough, these numbers appeared throughout the show.  If you happened to see them pop. Generally the response was whoo there they are I wanted what it means?  The most memorable reference to these numbers for me was Locke obsessed with making sure he entered those numbers into this 1970's looking computer every 108 minutes, for the fate of the world was in the balance ofcourse if they weren't

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42.

During the time when the show was at its height, you could ask almost anyone what the Lost numbers were, and they would rattle them off without hesitation. I was even one of those fans.  However, if I am being honest, when I stated writing up this page, I did have to look them back up.

Now enough of the back story onto the Challenge.

Challenge. We are going to use those Lost numbers in a rather simple way.  We all know that Delaware was the first state admitted into the Union, and Pennsylvania was the second.  Most people even know that Ohio is the 17th.    Well the challenge is this, you need to have found a cache in the state who was admittance to the Union corresponds to the Lost number.

Here are the states required are:

4 - Georgia

8 - South Carolina

15 - Kentucky

16 - Tennessee

23 - Maine

42 - Washington

Any cache type counts and date you found it is not relevant.  The only requirement is that you have logged a find in all of the 6 associated states.

The cache is at the posted coordinates and you can use the checker below to see if you qualify.  If you dont, you can still sign the log and when you do finally qualify you can claim the find.

The difficulty is based on the challenge and the terrain is based on the hide.
