This is our first hide so we picked a place that we frequent often especially when we need guidance.
This church was was founded on January 1, 1969. It began when two small community churches merged- St. Paul's Lutheran Church(Lyons, PA) and Trinity Lutheran Church(Bowers, PA). St. Paul's was built in 1868 and Trinity was built in 1901. On June 23, 1966 Trinity Lutheran Church burned. It was decided that the 2 churches would merge into one. On November 5, 1972 the first worship service was held in the current building.
The 2 bells(one from each church) used to ring with the sounds of HOPE daily, however due to structural strain on the building they had to be taken down in 2017 and are were stored on the property until 2022.In 2022, a local scout designed the current display and had the bells moved to their current location for the 50th anniversary celebration. Now every hour they ring again with the sounds of HOPE.
