Where: Coles Beach, Devonport
When: Sunday 1 December, 10:00am to 11:00am
The first official day of summer is an ideal time to improve the environment in part of our playground. There are numerous caches in the area and it seems appropriate that we help to maintain a pleasant area by having a CITO.
It is also an ideal opportunity for geocachers to catchup with one another and share information about existing and possible new caches for the coming summer.
Meeting Place: At the posted coordinates.
What To Bring: As well as sturdy footwear, warm clothes (it may be summer, but that is no guarantee that it will be warm), hats and water, you will need to bring gloves and garbage bags to collect rubbish that is in the open or under trees. Please bring any other "tools" that may be helpful, such as a telescopic grabber.
Rubbish Disposal: 2y'stassies will arrange for disposal of the collected rubbish. They will also bring a container appropriate for the storage of any sharps (syringes etc) so that these dangerous items can be collected safely and are not included in general rubbish collections.
Other Options: There will be a CITO Event logbook available during the event for those who would like to sign it.
Parking: There is ample parking at the posted coordinates.
Horrendous Weather: The event will go ahead even if it is raining. However in case the weather on the day is absolutely diabolical, the COs will forward a phone number to all who indicate an intention to attend so that last minute arrangements can be shared.
Please make every effort to come along, even if you can only manage to be there for part of the time
