Geocache Description:

Many war memorials are erected on an octagonal base, but not this one in Thorverton. Constructed of white granite, it has a square plinth surmounted by a tapering shaft with a wheeled Celtic cross at the top. It commemorates 16 deaths in WWI and 5 in WWII.

The cache is a simple multi with numbers to find.

A. How many men of the Devon Regiment were killed in the Second World War?
B. How vowels are visible in the three word name of the masons?
C. How many triangles halfway up the memorial?
D. How many privates were killed in the First World War?

A+B+C+D=17

The cache is a short walk away at:

N50 48.BDC W3 31.C(B-A)A

Checksum N=33, W=14
