This is part of the Cache to eagle series featuring Eagle Scout projects from Troop 300. In 2016 Hunter Bleakney spent more than 125 hours working to put a park bench on top of the Bodenburg Butte, in Palmer, AK. This is a remote site, and required his workers to take a vertical climb to the butte summit in order to cement the bench in place and get it erected. Erosion made the bench supper tall over the years. So in 2019 Stephen DeFillipo removed and replaced the bench for his Eagle Scout project. We would love to see some pictures of you using the bench at the top of the Butte!
