A small alleyway leads to some stairs up to a bridge crossing over to the railway to the Luhu Park area. There is a ramp on the other side that is more convenient for most, so these stairs are little-used. For most of the day, every day, a woman sits at one of the turns at the lower levels of the stairs working away on a sewing machine. Nearby, there are usually a couple of people picking through bits of various pieces of discarded appliances or furniture and stripping off some valuable bits for recycling.
Not much is likely to happen to this interstitial space in terms of future development potential, as the site is nestled in next to the railway and the elevated inner ring road. The stairs and bridge crossing can be used to access the Taojin area along Hengfu Lu, but Luyuan Lu is a more attractive option.
