During the summer of 2019, Hollywood came to Akron. Main Street was given a thorough, yet temporary, facelift. It was a major event, being reported in news media all across the region.
This cache will start you off at a quiet place in Akron. You'll finish up at a quiet place, too. Along the way, you'll walk in the footsteps of both Hollywood stars and the many people that call Akron "home." However, you'll need to do some work in order to get there. And maybe you'll learn a little bit about Local History along the way.
Find the date of the deed on the nearby historic marker. Write the date in MMDDYYYY format.
Go to N43 0A.BCD W78 W0.XYZ
Where:
- A = the first digit of the year
- B = the first digit of the day
- C = the first digit of the month
- D = the third digit of the year
- W = the second digit of the year - the third digit of the year
- X = the first digit of the day - the last digit of the year
- Y = the second digit of the month
- Z = the third digit of the year - the first digit of the year
So that's where you need to go. But before you do, you'll need the following info computed using the year this sign was erected:
F abc Sde
where:
- a = the last digit of the year erected
- b = the second digit of the year erected / 3
- c = 0
- d = the third digit of the year erected + the first digit of the year erected
- e = the third digit of the year erected
Make your way to your computed coordinates with the information you've just calculated (but only during the times listed below) and go inside. From this point, you are on your own. Take your time and browse around. Please be respectful of the location and those within.
The final for this cache is available during the following hours:

Also, please remember that the stamp and ink pad are NOT trade items. They are to be left with the cache.
