Many caches around the Taojin area are in quiet or secluded areas hidden away from the main traffic and pedestrian flows. This is not one of those. This area features multi-level roads and ramps, and huge flows of both vehicles and pedestrians for most of the day. The metro line 5 also passes by, underground. The area has always had a pronounced African and Middle-Eastern presence, as reflected in the restaurants and shops, but the African population in the area has declined fairly sharply over the last several years as costs in Guangzhou have risen, negatively impacting trading activities.
