Geocache Description:

Some of you may remember Tall Pines. I was surprised it archived, but for some reason, I never bothered to look to see if it was still there. Turns out it was. The coordinates were off from the start. Instead of a damp Tupperware, there's a 50 caliber ammo can in the same spot. It's a short hike and a neat area. Do not park in the high school lot if school is in session. I'm uploading a screenshot of a trail map and you can figure out the best place to park to get on the Long Path.

I have not verified this information, but in the original logbook it states:

There used to be at least three homes on this plateau over the years. Now, this is a Town of Clarkstown Park. In the spring of 2005, local residents joined together to prevent a huge radio tower from being built by the split pine. Now the Long Path passes through undisturbed.

Who lived here and what stories could they tell?
