Tento opuštěný čedičový ostroh už svým názvem navozuje temný středověk. Možná se vám při návštěvě vybaví zkazky o tom, jak se na takových místech zjišťovala vina obviněných nešťastníků. Pokud svržení ze skály přežili, dokazovalo to jejich vinu a byli následně upáleni. V případě zabití pádem se sice konstatovala nevina, ale to už odsouzeným moc platné nebylo.. Tento poněkud trudnomyslný směr úvah je zde podpořen výhledem na středověké ruiny, Kalich, Pannu a Hazmburk směrem západním, a Litýš pohledem k poledni .
Zde se chovejte zvláště ohleduplně k přírodě a místním zvířátkům, která nejsou na návštěvníky tolik zvyklá. Značená cesta na vrchol nevede. Můžete využít některý z waypoints (v závislosti na směru ze kterého budete postupovat a vrstevnicích), nebo svůj vlastní.
Dbejte zvýšené opatrnosti při pohybu na skalním masivu, zvláště za mokra či náledí!
This abandoned basalt promontory evokes dark Middle Ages by both its name and its atmosphere. Here, the records speaking of the unfortunate souls executed in this horrible fashion might creep into your thoughts. Those who survived being hurled from the clifftop, proved their guilt by doing so, and were burned to death. Those killed by the fall were found innocent - not much of a consolation. These dreary, melancholic reflections are made ever more acute by the medieval castle ruins crowding around you: Kalich (Chalice), Panna (Virgo) and Hazmburk westward, and Litys in the south.
In this godforsaken place, the nature has been preserved and the local animals are not used to visitors, please take special care not to disturb them. There is no marked trail leading to the summit or the rock. You can either use one of the waypoints (depending on your approach course and contour lines), or choose your own.
Exercise caution when walking on the rock, especially in wet or icy weather!
