The area is scenic and well-worth visiting.
It is worth noting that the area the cache is in receives
significant snow most winters.
Approaching the cache from the north on route 108 is impossible
once snow has fallen because the state closes the road through
Smuggler's Notch. This cache is a relatively easy find when
there's no snow on the ground, although trees may make reception
tricky at some times of the year and muggles may complicate things
at peak tourist periods.
Cache history: this cache was originally
placed by "northernwanderers", who, unfortunately, got the
coordinates very very very wrong and then never corrected them and
never logged in again on the geocaching.com website. In
October of 2004, Otter and Lemur adopted the cache and corrected
things.
In January of 2006 BilboB agreed to adopt
the cache.
*****UPDATE April 22, 2006***** I just want to thank everyone who
has taken the time out to find this cache and to all who have yet
to find it. I will be deployed in support of the Global War on
Terrorism to Iraq for about 14 months. Darrel of DJ and Cal has
graciously agreed to adopt my caches and maintain them while I am
gone and I really appreciate that. Thanks everyone and see you next
year!
