Geocache Description:

This cache replaces the original California Cattle Country that was removed by non-geocache vandals. This cache is located in a more remote area and is better hidden. Please hide the cache exactly as you found it.

From Hwy. 58, take Caliente-Bodfish Road (Lion's Trail) 7.3 miles north from Caliente Creek Road to the first waypoint: N35º21.491' W118º33.442', which is the turnout on the north side of the road. From there, the cache is located on a compass hearing of 302º, about 100 yards.

The treasure is in a clear plastic pickle container with a green lid, 5"x5"x12" at waypoint N35º21.522' W118º33.496'.

Spy a small block of nature's preserve nailed to an oak. Look inside the owl's hollow. The booty is sheltered by a weathered remnant of the same material.
