Geocache Description:

As we head into the silly season, here’s a simple Christmas-themed wherigo cache to keep you amused!

This play-anywhere wherigo is based on an old game played by children in Germany called ‘Das Haus Vom Nikolaus’.

The aim is trace out the house of St. Nicholas in one go without going over the same line twice.

There are a number of possible solutions and once you have traced out the house you will be given a 10-digit code corresponding to the letters A through to J.

Apply the code to the following formula to find Santa's house:

S34 BA.IJE' E138 HI.CJJ'

You will need to bring your own pen.

You can download the cartridge HERE. It can be played anywhere but you should use a large free space at least 25 by 25 metres. The base line of A => B should be at least 10 metres long.

Many thanks to espe2310 who has kindly allowed me to use his cartridge for this cache.

Cartridge advice: After having played the cartridge a few times on an iPhone and read some advice from other users, I suggest following:

1. When drawing the base line of Santa's house, allow at least 10 metres between the two points, more if possible - the remaining points you need to visit are automatically calculated based upon this distance;

2. Don't rush it - when your GPS/phone indicates you have arrived at a set point (0m), it may take a few seconds for the cartridge to register this; and

3. If you get an error message, increase the baseline or the zone, and try again.

And if you are wondering about the significance of the listed coordinates, try visiting them after dark in the weeks leading up to and immediately after Christmas. Perhaps this is Santa's House!

Good luck!
