La foto vi mostra la facciata dell’unica chiesa in Costiera Amalfitana in stile Rococò, ma non è l’unica particolarità: è la chiesa mostrata nella Metamorphosis di Escher. E’ un edificio di culto antico, risale alla prima metà del XII secolo, anche se è stata ingrandita e adeguata alle esigenze della popolazione del comune.

Anche il Comune di Atrani è molto particolare, perché è il meno esteso d'Italia!

Preferisco che scopriate da soli la meraviglia del panorama del sagrato, una vera e propria terrazza sul golfo di Salerno che consiglio di visitare un po’ prima del tramonto per perdersi nel blu tra mare e cielo e poi magari fare un aperitivo in piazzetta.

The photo shows you the facade of the only Rococò style church, but this is not the only particularity: the church appears on the Metamorphosis by Escher. It is an ancient place of worship, firstly built in XII century, enlarged and improved due the needs of population of the village.

Actually the village of Atrani is really interesting too, because is the smallest in Italy!

I let you discover by yourself the magnificence of the panorama from the parvis. A proper terrace on the Salerno’s Gulf. I suggest visiting a bit before the sunset to enjoy the blu sea and sky. After this you could have an aperitif in the little square of the village.
