Geocache Description:


The rugged North coast has been the reason for seclusion from Vallehermoso.
The Atlantic waves hit the rocks. Only Castillo del Mar, which was a banana loading station a long time ago, then a unique Café and Cultural Center (but now in decline), resisted the waves. The road to it has been destroyed over the years, due to falling rocks and flodding in 2017.
Nearby is the Parque Maritimo with (only open in the summer months) saltwater baths with restaurant for sunbathing and relaxing after a long day of hiking.


The road to the Castle is officially closed due to falling rocks. Especially on windy and rainy days it is not advisable to walk this road.
