IT'S TIME FOR FUN

It's time for the SLAGA Winter Potluck and Cabin Fever Event!

As like last year, the event will be held at The Pavilion at Lemay! This brand-new 42,000 square foot facility has a gymnasium, kitchen facilities, and other amenities that will make this event very comfortable for everyone.

***PLEASE NOTE***
Animals are not allowed in the facility, so please plan accordingly.

What will you find and experience at this event? Well, you’ll find camaraderie, exchanging and sharing of trackables, geocaching stories, games, a raffle and maybe a surprise or two! How can you go wrong? Heck, there might even be some new caches placed for the event!

Geocachers love FOOD. The SLAGA area has a lot of great people who know how to cook. This year we want everyone to focus on Main Dishes. We're talking baked hams, turkey, beef brisket, fried chicken, chicken & dumplings, mostaccioli, venison, BBQ ribs, pork steaks, chops, chili, chowder, shrimp, baked salmon, or maybe a rack of lamb. Some people make great side dishes like fresh vegetables, green bean casserole, cooked squash, corn, deviled eggs, peas, pasta casserole, macaroni & cheese, crab rangoon and rice dishes. Others make great desserts, so we hope everyone considers low sugar desserts as well. If you are a terrible cook and don't want anyone to know, bring a salad, corn chips, pretzels, potato chips, Pringles, WHITE CASTLE HAMBURGERS, diet soda, bottled water, etc..
SLAGA will provide the plates, silverware, napkins, etc. When you log your "Will Attend" please include a head count as well as what food item(s) you plan to bring. We will update this page with the growing menu!

As in years past, St. Louis County Parks has graciously provided this facility to use at absolutely no cost. Since we will be in the gymnasium, be careful and try not to drop food or drinks on the floor. If a spill does occur, just grab one of the SLAGA Officers or your host and we'll get it taken care of.

The main goal of this event is to focus on fellowship, reacquainting ourselves with old caching friends and getting to know new (or prospective) cachers. As such, it’s open to geocachers and those interested in geocaching as well. All are encouraged to attend! If you haven't attended a geocaching event yet, give it a try! People around this neck of the woods are some of the finest you'll ever meet! Let’s not forget that this is also an awesome opportunity to invite local land managers or parks department personnel to come out for some food and friendship. It's a nice time for them to meet local cachers, as well as a token of our appreciation for letting us play in their parks.
