A Road Well Travelled Multi-Cache

Important Notes

Please replace the Geocache carefully - otherwise it is likely to be discovered by muggles. The area is very popular and muggles who can see the cache location from their houses might "help" it from its hiding place into the nearby bin if not replaced carefully :)

The log book paper is actually made of stone. It doesn't matter if it gets wet. Use a waterproof pen, or pencil, to write in the log book (if possible). Most pens work just fine, but some get washed off the paper when it gets wet.

Prepare for a short walk (about 1.2km) in Herttoniemenranta, ending with a nice sea view.

Your walk begins outside a supermarket, near a tree surrounded by little metal figurines. Let the number of these figurines be A. These figurines are part of the Herttoniemenranta Tarinalyhty communal art & light installation series and were placed to commemorate Finland's 100th year of independence.

Take a walk over the road, and down Petter Wetterin tie (not relevant to this cache, but you'll walk past a concrete pillar that is the only remnant of the industrial yard that used to cover this area). Eventually, you'll reach the corner of Laivalahdenpuisto. Take a right turn and walk along here until you find a straight line of painted, coloured stones - let the number of these stones be B (in winter, you might need to do a little hunting for these - it's an odd number).

Continue along the path through the park. Before you reach the sea, take a left turn up a hill, and locate the Bronze Age grave site. In front of this site are a couple of benches, and a ring of small lamps - let the number of these lamps be C.

When you've found the cache (careful of muggles - some may even be watching from their houses), take a while to enjoy the beautiful sea view.

Tämä multi vie sinut noin 1,2 kilometrin kävelylle Herttoniemenrannassa päättyen merimaiseman äärelle.

Lähdet matkaan kaupan pihalla olevan puun luota, jonka ympärillä on pieniä metallisia veistoksia. Näiden veistosten lukumäärä vastaa lukua A. Veistokset ovat osa Herttoniemenrannan Tarinalyhty-teosta, joka on yhteisöllinen taide- ja valoinstallaatio Suomen 100-vuotisen itsenäisyyden muistamiseksi.

Lähde kulkemaan Petter Wetterin tietä pitkin. Matkalla ohitat betonipilarin, joka on jätetty muistoksi alueella sijainneesta teollisuusalueesta. Käveltyäsi jonkun aikaa päädyt Laivalahdenpuiston nurkalle. Käänny oikealle ja kävele kunnes huomaat värikkäiden maalattujen kivien muodostaman rivin. Näiden kivien lukumäärä vastaa lukua B (talvella saatat joutua etsimään näitä kiviä lumipeitteen alta, joten todettakoon että kiviä on pariton lukumäärä).

Jatka matkaasi puiston läpi. Juuri ennen merelle saapumistasi käänny vasemmalle ylämäkeen ja kulje kohti pronssikautista hautaröykkiötä. Sen edustalta löydät penkkejä ja pieniä lamppuja ringissä. Näiden lamppujen lukumäärä vastaa lukua C.
