Every year, Jim - K6CCC sets up a music synchronized Christmas light show at his house. For opening night, various family, friends, and neighbors are invited to the "lights on event". It was decided last year to add a GeoCaching event to the lights on evening. This is a repeat of last years event. As has been done every year, hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies will be served. So come on over and have a few snacks and watch the opening of a really cool Christmas light show.
The light show starts promptly at 7:00 PM. You are welcome to arrive as early as 6:30, and it is HIGHLY suggested that you plan to arrive at least a little bit prior to the show start as you don't want to miss the opening. There is often something extra for opening night. The show runs until 10:00 PM during the week and until 11:00 PM on the weekends. Note that for the rest of the light show season, the show starts at 5:00 PM. The 7:00 PM start is only for opening night.
For official purposes, this event is scheduled from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
This year's show will feature almost thirty thousand lights that are controlled as over sixty six thousand individual lighting channels. There will be 13 songs in the show this year. For listening to the music in your car, the music will be transmitted on Newburgh Lights Radio on 101.5 MHz on your FM dial. Prior to the show starting, there will be assorted Christmas music playing on Newburgh Lights Radio.
Please do not park right in front of the house as it blocks the view for people coming to watch the show.
