Come visit these memorials to the town’s railway era, built by retired blacksmith Colin Campbell.
Peterborough has had a history built around the railways for well over a century, during the 1950’s it had over 100 steam trains running through the town per day, but those days have long gone.
This model train was put into place in 1998, the train is the first of four memorials built for the town. Taking 6 months to build at a cost of $1000.
The train is based on the N.E.R Class “C” locomotive built in Gateshead England 1889.
