Moins connu qu’Oradour ou Tulle, le massacre du moulin de la résistance au Pont Lasveyras à Beyssenac en Corrèze, est lui aussi un triste exemple de la barbarie nazie. Au matin du 16 février 1944, sur dénonciation, 40 jeunes maquisards perdaient la vie. Une dizaine de panneaux inaugurés ce 27 août 2013, raconte l’histoire de ce camp de maquis.
La 1ère cache de la série commémore le travail du RAF 138 Sdr (SOE) qui a fourni et assisté la Résistance dans cette région entre 1941 et 1944.

Less well known than the atrocities at Oradour s/Glane or Tulle, the massacre at Pont Lasveyras in Beyssenac, Correze is also another sad example of the brutality of Nazis during WW2. On 16th February 1944, 40 young members of the Resistance lost their lives.
This memorial site, opened in 2013, contains a dozen information boards explaining the history of this Resistance Camp (and info about the wildlife you will see there!).
