HR - Dekretom đakovačkog i srijemskog biskupa mons. Ćirila Kosa, 15. studenog 1976. godine – osnovana je Župa Sv. Ćirila i Metoda, slavenskih apostola, u Osijeku. Ova Župa nastala je odcjepljenjem od Župe sv. Mihaela arkanđela u Tvrđi te obuhvaća Novi Grad.
ENG - By the decree of Bishop of Đakovo and Srijem, Msgr. Ćiril Kos, on November 15th, 1976 - The Parish of Sv. Cyril and Methodius, the Slavic Apostles, in Osijek, was established. This Parish was created by secession from the Parish of Sts. Michael the Archangel in the Old part of Osijek – Tvrđa and encompasses Novi Grad.
HR - Od 1976. Župa djeluje u jednoj staroj kući, na istoj lokaciji, a prva misa služena je 1976. za Božić. 1996. godine započinje gradnja monumentalne crkve i pastoralnog centra čiji je kamen temeljac položen 15. studenog 1996. godine.
ENG - Since 1976, the parish has been operating in an old house, in the same location, and the first mass was served in 1976 for Christmas. In 1996, the construction of a monumental church and a pastoral center began, the foundation stone of which was laid on November 15, 1996.
HR - Nova crkva dimenzija je 28 x 28 metara, a središnji crkveni prostor u mogućnosti je primiti i do 1500 vjernika. Uz crkvu se nalaze i dodatni prostori: zimska kapela, dnevna kapela, prostor za majke s djecom, galerije, sakristija. U novoj crkvi redovita bogoslužja započinju na blagdan Cvjetnice u ožujku 2005. Stara crkva (kuća) srušena je 5. svibnja 2006. i od tada se sve pastoralne aktivnosti održavaju u prostorima novog ureda i pastoralnog centra.
ENG - The new church is 28 x 28 meters in size, and the central church space can accommodate up to 1500 believers. In addition to the church there are additional spaces: winter chapel, day chapel, space for mothers with children, galleries, sacristy. In the new church, the regular worship services begin on the Feast of flowers on March 2005. The old church (house) was demolished on May 5, 2006 and since then all pastoral activities have taken place in the premises of the new church and pastoral center.
