Welcome to Wentworth Castle Gardens. This is first of a series placed with the kind permission of the National Trust, Northern College and Barnsley Museums who have formed a partnership to make this lovely place available to the public.
The series of 10 caches contains 4 letterboxes and a multi. A sheet for using the stamps in the letterboxes is available in the National Trust reception; it has additional features which you might like to take part in. It is designed to be family friendly. Two caches are truly wheelchair accessible, all but the multi are within 20 metres of a mobility scooter accessible point.
Once you enter the gardens you do not to leave it to find the remaining caches. You will not need to climb any fences, walls or ha-has.
Do not try to enter when the site is closed to the public, remember we are guests.
Dogs on leashes are welcome ….. so long as they are accompanied by well-behaved owners ;-) .

Wentworth Castle Gardens is now open to visitors daily from 10am until 5pm (last admission 4.15pm). Winter opening hours may be shorter. Check the NT website for latest open hours. There is an admission charge but under 5's, carers and 5,000,000 National Trust members go free. Prices here https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wentworth-castle-gardens#Prices
